Postdoctoral Researcher: Power for Field Robots, Autonomous Vehicles and Sensor Networks.

The research at the Mechanical Engineering Field and Space Robotics Laboratory (The FSRL) involves the investigation of the feasibility of power supplies for field robots, autonomous vehicles and sensor networks based on micro-fuel cell.

A team, consisting of graduate students and a postdoctoral researcher, is currently carrying out this research.  Our study focuses on the activities in robotics, fuel cells, power electronics, mechanical design, control and heat transfer.  We are looking for a second postdoctoral researcher to support this team.  A background and interest in the design, analysis and experimental characterization of small and compact vehicle power systems based on PEM technology, including fuel storage, are highly desirable.

The ideal candidate should have a recent PhD and experience in engineering.  He or she should also be interested in related area of technology.  This position will remain open until filled.  MIT is an equal opportunity employer, and applications from well-qualified women and under-represented minorities are most welcome.  Applications and the names of three references should be sent to:
