Guidelines for Concentrations- Concentrations must include at least 60 units.
- All concentration subjects must be letter graded.
- No concentration subject may also be counted as a GIR.
- UROPs are not allowed in the concentration; however, students may include a 12 unit thesis, 2.ThU.
- Basic math and science subjects may be included only if they are prerequisite to a higher level engineering subject in the concentration; otherwise, such subjects should be taken as unrestricted electives.
- The concentration must include at least 51 units of engineering topics; this content should be reviewed with the 2-A Coordinator.
- Freshman-level subjects, such as 2.00A or 2.00B, may not be included.
- Each concentration subject must have an obvious relationship to the overall theme of the concentration.
