Undergraduate Admission

Undergraduate admission to all departments at MIT is handled by the MIT Admissions Office. For details, please visit the Admissions Office home page.

Students select their majors during the Spring Term of the freshman year. Information on choosing a major can be found at the First Year at MIT web site.

Graduate Admission

Applications for graduate study are reviewed by the Mechanical Engineering Department. Details of the graduate application process can be found under Applying For Admission on this site.
